Yes. Each throw and cushion cover is washed once before dispatch to remove loose dye particles. The first two home washes should be done separately in cold water with a mild detergent. After that, the colors settle and the fabric softens without losing its pattern.
Our block-printed cushion covers are made from 100% cotton with a plain weave. The covers have an envelope closure at the back, so you can slip the insert in and out without zippers. They fit standard 16-inch and 18-inch cushion inserts.
Handloom throws are woven on traditional pit looms, which means each piece has slight variations in weave density and dye absorption. This is not a defect. The irregularities are part of the craft and give each throw its own character. We check every piece for structural flaws before packing.
Organic cotton bedding is pre-shrunk during the finishing process, so you can expect minimal shrinkage of about 3-4% after the first wash. We recommend washing in cold water and drying in shade to keep the weave tight and the colors true.
Table runners are treated with a low-impact finish that resists light spills. For everyday use, wipe the surface with a damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, hand wash in cold water and iron while slightly damp. Avoid bleach and harsh stain removers, as they can strip the natural dye.
