Every throw in our collection is woven on a traditional pit loom or frame loom by a member of a partner weaving cluster. We do not use power looms for these pieces. Because each cloth is made by hand, you may notice slight variations in weft density or selvedge width. That is a sign of the process, not a defect.
Yes, for the majority of our range. We use indigo, madder root, pomegranate rind, and other plant-based sources. A small number of accent shades rely on low-impact synthetic dyes that meet strict effluent standards. These are always listed in the product notes so you know exactly what you are buying.
Our organic cotton bedding is grown without synthetic pesticides or genetically modified seeds, and it is certified under a recognized organic standard. The certification covers the fiber itself. Weaving, dyeing, and finishing happen in facilities that follow our own environmental checklist, which is separate from the organic certification.
Low-impact finishing means we avoid chlorine bleaching, heavy metal mordants, and resin-based stiffeners. Instead, fabrics are washed in warm water with mild plant-based soaps and softened mechanically. This keeps the cloth breathable and reduces water pollution, though it also means the texture softens gradually with use.
Natural dyes are inherently less colorfast than synthetic ones. Our covers are pre-washed to remove excess dye, but we still recommend washing them separately in cold water for the first few cycles. With proper care, the colors mellow rather than disappear, which is part of the aesthetic we design for.
Yes. We understand that monitor settings shift how terracotta and indigo appear. If the fabric does not match your expectation, you can return it within 14 days of delivery, provided the piece is unused and in its original packaging. We do not charge a restocking fee, but return shipping is on the buyer.
